Information on: Nordic Infrastructure Conference 2012

Welcome to NIC2012!

For the first time, an international infrastructure conference is arranged in Norway.
It will be held Jan 13th – 14th 2012 in Oslo.

Our goal is to create the premier event for all IT-professionals in the Nordics, offering broad technical education on Microsoft and 3. party products, tools and services. Our two day event will focus on deep-dives and practical knowledge on the most used products. This means less slides, more hands-on. We will show you the good and the bad sides, we will show you how to solve the most common tasks and challenges, sharing all our experience from the real world, the tips & the tricks.

So if you are deploying, managing, securing and mobilizing Microsoft solutions, NIC is the place to be. We will focus on the key technologies within current and soon-to-be released products, helping you to better solve today’s IT-challenges, and preparing for tomorrow’s innovations.

Oslo Spektrum, Oslo

Welcome to Oslo – the capitol of Norway, and to Oslo Spektrum which lies in the very centre.

NIC2012 will be held in the very centre of Oslo, at Oslo Spektrum. Today, some 70 per cent of the public performances presented at Oslo Spektrum are cultural and entertainment events. For most people, the arena is probably associated with large-scale concerts and shows featuring international performers.

Conferences/congresses and corporate events have also become increasingly important for Oslo Spektrum. International arrangements as ESSKA, Norwegian State Railways’ 150th Anniversary celebrations and Orkla’s 350th Anniversary celebrations provide good examples of this. The arena is used for plenary sessions and exhibitions, supplemented by smaller conference suites and rooms at the hotels, thus providing a full range of facilities for organisers of events of this nature.

The location of the building, a short walk from public transport nodes and 2,000 hotel rooms makes Oslo Spektrum an attractive city centre alternative for congresses and trade fairs. There are numerous multi-storey parking facilities in the vicinity of the concert arena. The nearest overnight accommodation can be found at the Radisson Blue Plaza Hotel, Terminal, Thon Hotels, Clarion Hotel Royal Christiania and Oslo hotels.
